Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

I work across two complementary areas of practice: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Educational & Academic Support. My work is grounded in psychodynamic thinking, with attention to the uniqueness of each individual and the emotional meaning behind present difficulties.

In my psychotherapy practice, I offer a confidential, reflective and containing space in which we can explore patterns that may underlie experiences such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and questions of identity. Together, we pay attention to how early relational experiences and unconscious dynamics may continue to shape current struggles. Through deepening awareness, clients often develop greater emotional clarity, resilience and a more secure sense of self.

Alongside my clinical work, I hold a PhD in Educational Psychology and provide specialist support to parents, adolescents and university students who feel stuck, overwhelmed or under pressure in their educational lives. I work particularly with high-ability students who struggle with perfectionism, performance anxiety, procrastination, loss of motivation or academic confidence.

I also offer consultation to parents concerned about their child’s emotional distress around school, resistance to learning, or ongoing conflict related to expectations and achievement. My approach integrates emotional understanding with thoughtful, practical guidance, helping young people build healthier motivation and a more sustainable relationship with learning.

In-person sessions are available in North West London (Shirland Road, London W9). Online sessions are also available.
