I am an adult psychotherapist with over ten years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. I specialise in working with relationships, particularly around communication and conflict. My practice is located in Central London and Harrow on the Hill. I also offer online sessions.
I offer a calm, compassionate and respectful space, where we build on the ability to listen deeply and strengthen communication. As a relationship therapist, I help you understand how to hold multiple perspectives in mind. Our sessions provide a space for you to explore your experiences with depth and honesty. This may be within yourself or with your partners or family members. Ultimately, therapy enables you to make choices with clarity and acceptance.
A significant part of my work supports people trying to navigate questions around identity, dating, managing boundaries, infidelity, trust, arguments, intimacy, and change in life stage. Sessions will help you make sense of these changes, work through your thoughts and feelings, so you can confidently take your next steps.
I am particularly passionate about working with difference and diversity. Being culturally congruent and respectful is a significant part of my practice. For this reason, I am keen to support intercultural relationships. In my practice I have supported people from a range of ethnicities, sexualities and faiths. I warmly welcome LGBTQIA individuals; this is a space where your experience is respected and affirmed. I also welcome individuals and relationships where neurodiversity is present.
My primary clinical approach is psychodynamic, where we think about what lies beneath our awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviours, how they shape who we are. I am also CBT and systemically trained; my therapeutic approach is tailored to your needs. Our work may be time limited or long term.
I trained as a relationship and family therapist (MA Relationship and Family Therapy), and have since worked for over ten years, with young people, adult individuals, couples and families. In addition to my private practice, I work as clinician and supervisor in NHS and organisational settings. I also teach and supervise in couple therapy for depression. I am trained in CBT skills to help with depression and anxiety.
